Kovalam Beach

Located 16 km south of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, Kovalam, today, is an internationally renowned beach located on the Malabar coast of Kerala. There was a time when Kovalam was only a sleepy little village but the picture has changed dramatically today. The place has become a favourite hangout of the tourists which has been made all the more attractive by a massive rocky promontory that has created a little calm water body just right for bathing in the sea. The place also provides you with whole lot of leisure options such as swimming, sun bathing, herbal body massages and catamaran cruising among other activities. Your typical life at the beach begins late in the day and goes on till late into the night.
