Kozhikode Beach
In the ancient days, Kozhikode used to be
the most important region of Malabar. The place was also the capital of
powerful Zamorins and it used to be the trade and commercial hub of the
region. The sunset viewers regularly throng the Kozhikode beach, their
favourite place to hangout with their friends and family. The Kozhikode
beach in kerala has an eclectic mix of the natural beauty and the old world charm
which attracts the tourists to it. There is an old lighthouse and two
crumbling piers that run into the sea which serve as added attractions at
the place. The place also has facilities for the children as well which

Airport which is about 25 km away. The Kozhikode railway station is the

The recently renovated Mananchira Square, is situated in the busiest part
of the city. Some of the most important squares of the city are located here
which include Kuttichera Tank, Kuttichera, Commonwealth Spinning Mill,

» Thikkodi Lighthouse and Payyoli Beach
This lighthouse can be seen from the Kappad beach. From the top of the
lighthouse, you can have a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. The lighthouse
and the Payyoli beach are about 30 km away from the Kozhikode town.
» Thali Temple
Constructed by the Samuthiris, the Thali temple was the venue of an annual
competition where various artists used to present their skills and talents
before the Samuthiri.
» Pazhassi Raja Museum
Situated atop the East hill which is about 6 km away from Kozhikode, the
items on display here include antique bronzes, old coins, models of temples
and mural paintings, among other items.
