Padmanabhaswamy Temple
Located right in the heart of
Thiruvananthapuram, the Padmanabhaswamy temple is an architectural wonder
and a massive structure which has a 100 feet high Gopuram. This temple is
dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The idol of the deity is covered with gold and
precious stones. The idol at the temple can be viewed through three
different doors. The architecture of the temple is a beautiful combination
of the Hindu and Kerala style.

The Idol of Lord Vishnu
The massive idol of Lord Vishnu can be seen fully with three different
doors. You can see the head and the torso through the first door. The
midriff and the hands can be seen only through the second door whereas the
third door shows the pious feet of the Lord. The massive idol of the Lord
can be seen resting on the Serpent Lord, Anantha.
